AA stands for Alcoholics Alcohol. It was established in 1935 by Bill Wilson and Bob Smith to allow their members to remain sober and help other alcoholics attain sobriety. AA meetings gather men and women who share their experiences of breaking free from alcoholism and how they are pulling through.
The AA meeting provides a framework for members to reexamine themselves and guide them toward recovery from alcohol. Members of any religious faith are allowed to join as AA meeting is not affiliated with h any religious body organization.
The benefit of joining AA meetings are very numerous. The likelihood of you staying sober for a long period is increased when you join an AA meeting.
