Jennifer Kane

Jennifer is a Certified Addiction Treatment Specialist (CAS) and a Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor (CADC-1).  She specializes in Dual Disorders, Personality Disorders and Trauma; helping those stay sober/clean, heal & thrive.  She has worked in this field for 20 years in many different capacities.  Currently she runs groups at both Residential & Outpatient for Iris Healing®.  Jennifer is qualified to do various treatment modalities including individual & group therapy, family therapy & couples therapy.  She uses Motivational Interviewing, REBT, Stages of Change & other evidenced based methods to help clients achieve their full potential. Jennifer is in recovery herself from drugs/alcohol. She had hit a bottom and in October 1997 & decided to get clean. Since then there has been no looking back. She graduated college, got custody of her daughter back, mended relationships and built many more.  She received her Cochlear Implant and bought a house.  She just celebrated 24 years clean/sober (10/15/1997).  Jennifer has an interesting set of challenges, which don’t hold her back. She is deaf, but with the help of a Cochlear implant she struggles much less. She loves animals and has many at home, including her Congo African Grey parrot named Kinka. She has been rescuing baby squirrels with the Wildlife Waystation and then she releases them back to the wild.  She also has 3 kitties and a Frenchie dog named Gizmo.
