Susan Pleis

Susan been working in the recovery field since 2016 while attending the Addiction Studies program at Pierce College. After 30+ years working as an Art Director/Graphic Designer she changed careers after having a profound experience in recovery in 2014. While attending school Susan trained/worked as a group facilitator at NCADD-SFV a non-profit providing individuals and families affordable community based treatment. Joining the team at IHR 2019 while earning her CATC-1 credential, Susan worked in both the residential program and OP. Susan is dedicated and compassionate about providing education and skills to cope with the devastating effects of the disease of addiction and mental health. Her non-judgmental empathic approach as a group facilitator allows room for self-discovery and support for discovering a path to a recovery lifestyle. Susan is deeply committed and grateful to be able to serve the community at IRIS. In her free time, Susan enjoys hiking with her Husband and dogs, swimming and enjoys reading.
