Phone orientation prior to admission should include:
- Reminder to bring all prescribed medications and OTC's in original labeled containers
- Reminder to arrange transportation (and no client vehicles at IRIS)
- Reminder to bring any medical records, labs or any important clinical records
- Reminder to bring important phone numbers (family members, doctors, therapists)
- What to expect (brief overview of admission process, the main house rules etc.)
- Reminder that IRIS does random, supervised drug testing, breathalyzer testing etc.
- Reminder that the client should not self-taper or go cold turkey off any drug or medication. Do not do anything that isn't normal in regard to your dosing, drinking or using prior to admission.
What to Bring
- Credit cards, cashier's checks, or wire transfers are acceptable forms of payment. Please contact Admissions and make any necessary payment arrangement before arrival. Payment is due in full upon Admission.
- We require a credit card on file for any incidental charges such as holistic services, recovery books, and personal items.
- The client is responsible for medication fees. The client should bring a credit card or alternative form of payment for medications and a lab visit. The client will also be responsible for any co-pays or visits to the doctor.
- The client must bring a driver's license, passport, or photo ID.
- The client must bring their insurance card.
- The client must bring a list of all medications and dosages. Authorized medications will be refilled from the local pharmacy, and the client is responsible for any cost of medications.
- The client can bring the names, addresses, and phone numbers of health care professionals, referents, family members, and anyone else the client would like to have involved in treatment.
- The client should bring between $100 - $200 to use during the stay to purchase personal items. Please keep in mind there are no ATMs on site. A pre-paid Visa or MasterCard will also work in place of cash.
- The client can bring a cell phone for personal calls or a calling card to make long-distance calls at designated times. Phone cards are available for purchase throughout the stay.
Clothes to Pack
- At least two weeks of casual, comfortable clothing for everyday use.
- At least two weeks of sleepwear.
- Shoes for everyday use and exercise as well as a comfortable pair of slippers.
- Workout attire, including gym attire and a one-piece swimsuit or trunks.
- Shoes, shirts, and appropriate undergarments are always required. No tank tops or sleeveless tops. Dress codes are to be followed while in treatment.
- Personal toiletries, including shampoo and conditioner, hairspray, mouthwash, body lotion, and sunscreen. All toiletries must be alcohol-free.
Electronics Allowed
- Electronics such as an alarm clock and a hairdryer. Electronics without internet access such as headset radios, CD players (without speakers), iPods, and MP3 players (without speakers) are also permissible.
- Please keep in mind that electronics will be held for 72 hours, and clients can only use them during breaks outside of treatment hours.
- Please remember that this policy is case-by-case. We will make exceptions and prior arrangements for special-case clients who require full access to other electronics (working professionals, executive, unique clinical situations).
Do Not Bring
- Inappropriate clothing such as drug or alcohol "logo" clothing Please refrain from bringing excessively tight-fitting clothing and low cut, sleeveless. or revealing shirts. Please refrain from bringing torn jeans or torn t-shirts and excessively short shorts.
- Items exceeding $500 in value. Iris Healing® is not liable for the loss or damage of any money, jewelry, documents, or any other articles of high value. You may store up to $500 cash in the Elevations safe.
- Clove cigarettes or lighter butane cannot be stored on the premises.
- Electronic cigarettes or vapors may not be used inside (outside use may occur in designated spots).
- No candles.
- No pets.
- No cars.
- No energy drinks or vitamin drinks.
- No weapons of any kind
- No drugs, alcohol, or contraband of any kind
- Any unauthorized medications will be destroyed upon admission into the facility.
- No electrical appliances such as televisions, DVD Players, or iPods with video.
- No cosmetics that contain alcohol such as hair sprays, perfumes, nail polish remover, nail glue, hair color chemicals, aerosol containers, aftershave, or cologne. Alcohol-free cosmetics can be brought from home or purchased during an errand run.
