Scott Sanders, CADC-II

Scott Sanders (Scotty) has been working in the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Treatment profession for the past 14 years. With a personal history of substance abuse and the many adversities that accompany the lifestyle, Scotty began to make a change in his life.

Scotty attended and completed the Addiction Studies Program at Los Angeles Pierce College and is currently a member of the California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals and recognized as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor II, with over 10,000 hours in the field.

His career began at Cri-Help where he worked for over 5 years in detox and residential treatment and as an Intake Specialist. In an effort to expand his personal growth and knowledge of the profession, he transitioned from the clinical setting to Operations. The logistics and mechanics of a treatment program began to spark his interest.

In 2014, Scotty began his journey in the Sober Living arena as Director of Operations at Westwind Recovery. With the opening of the first house in 2014, Scotty was responsible for the daily operations for over 112 client beds and was involved in the highly successful development of the Detox/Residential Treatment/IOP Program that is in place today.

Scotty is currently the CEO/Founder of Dragonfly Recovery LA, a sober living program he founded whilst discovering that helping men and women at the sober living level of care fueled his passion. Dragonfly Recovery LA has two houses located in the San Fernando Valley. Scotty utilizes compassion and positive energy to ensure clients are cared for in a safe, supportive environment. He is committed to being a part of each client’s recovery process by providing individualized care to aid clients in developing life skills consistent with a healthy, productive, lifestyle.
