When you’re in the grips of addiction, it can seem like there’s no way out. At our healing retreat centers, we have many ways of helping with your addictions. From the initial intake onward, we can help at every step of the way. Each of those steps will be difficult, as there’s nothing easy about addiction. However, we can help you to come out from under the cloud of addiction to move towards living the life that you want.

Healing Retreat Centers During Withdrawal

Withdrawal is one of the most difficult parts of the rehab process. At Iris, it’s the first step when you arrive at our facility. If you’re addicted to opiates or some other kind of drug, it can be extremely harsh. Practically everything about it can be uncomfortable: anxiety, agitation, and depression are the norm. However, as the addiction is so powerful, it can lead to physical problems, too: weakness, diarrhea, nausea, insomnia and more. Healing Retreat Centers At Iris, you’re not alone. We’re always here to help you. That’s especially true during the withdrawal process. Someone going through detox needs to be monitored. They have to always be watched so that they will always be well taken care of. When we say we’re “always watching” you, we don’t mean that as an exaggeration or figure of speech. No, when you’re in detox at Iris, we are monitoring you 24 / 7 to make sure that you’re OK. You may be in the middle of detox and think: “I want to give up,” and that’s understandable. Many times, the patient wants to. So many people have been in the same position as you and found their way through. We’re always there with you during withdrawal, so that we can help you to eventually overcome your addiction. Fighting addiction is a long road. As with many journeys, the first steps are among the hardest. That’s what detox can be.

Residential Treatment

Once you’ve made it through detox, we move you to our residential treatment. That’s our gorgeous facility in Woodland Hills, near Calabasas, California. While we typically don’t watch you 24 / 7 in this facility, we do assign a primary counselor to you. This person is fully licensed and just as importantly, fully focused on you. That means that they keep an eye out on you, always watching over you to make sure that you’re OK while you stay with us. Of course, this primary counselor isn’t the only person who’s working with you. On top of that, we also have a complete treatment team working with you, too. They aren’t just focused on one kind of treatment, in fact, our team has professionals from all different kinds of disciplines. That means that they can draw upon all different kinds of treatments and therapy modalities to find the right one for you. This way, your treatment plan can be entirely focused on you and your needs. Every person that comes to Iris is different. From their background to the external factors in their life, to their addiction and their relationship with it – everyone here is unique in their own way. We give you a treatment plan that reflects that. That way, you can find your own, best way towards overcoming addiction. We just build a foundation so that you can step forward into your best life.

Life at our Residential Facility

At Iris, we do everything we can to provide you with the most tools. The more tools you’ll have, the better equipped you’ll be to live a sober life. Self help support groups, specifically Alcoholic Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous are available as well. To be clear, not everything at Iris is just lectures and group. Holistic therapies are included in so many of our treatments. Yoga therapy can do absolute wonders for the body and mind. In fact, we have a fully equipped gym. “Getting healthier” is a phrase that can take on quite a few different meanings, and getting in shape and eating right are absolutely two critical parts of it. On top of that, we also have plenty of sober fun activities, too. That way, you can develop the skills necessary to live once you’re outside of Iris, too.
